My name is Ariel Vegosen and I am a Jew who supports divestment. I live at the Stony Point Presbyterian Retreat Center in NY where I am part of a multi-faith community committed to nonviolence. I am proud and excited to say that everyday we are building strong relationships around difficult questions as Christians, Jews, and Muslims. When I traveled to a small farming village south of Bethlehem in the West Bank, I personally witnessed Caterpillar bulldozers uprooting olive tress some of which were more than 1,000 years old. I know Christians, Jews, and Muslims have the shared value of caring for the earth and loving our neighbors. Now is our opportunity to stand together and take action. I hope you vote for divestment and know that I and many other Jews are standing with you.
